A Christmas Liturgy For Your Home
This liturgy is a template to help bring some structure and tradition to your Christmas gathering. It only takes about 10-15 minutes and I encourage you to make it your own! In our house the most comfortable leader is usually PERSON 1 which covers the most reading. Then the other positions have shorter content for younger readers, or those who don’t like the spotlight.
When it comes time to sing, I encourage you to embrace what might be an awkward moment and be bold! You can sing a cappella, use the guide recordings below, or play your favorite version of the song on Spotify; whatever makes sense for your group. Singing the hymns of Christmas connects us to the history of the Church and keeps the traditions of our faith alive for future generations. Whenever they are heard, you can remember this sacred time spent with friends and family.
By taking the time to be still, read scripture, and reflect as a unified body, this liturgy is a simple way to center our traditions around The Gospel and create a holy space to celebrate it together. I hope it helps you bring Jesus into the center of your holiday gatherings.
